Chelsea fear nobody under Sarri – Willian

Chelsea fear nobody under Sarri – Willian Chelsea's resurgence and impressive playing style is all thanks to Maurizio Sarri, according to Brazil international Willian.

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly shortlisted PSV winger Hirving Lozano as a potential transfer target for the Blues. Barcelona came close to signing the PSV man after the World Cup, but a deal did not go through. Italian outfit Inter have also been linked with moves to sign the winger in the past.

Maurizio Sarri (Italian pronunciation: [mauˈrittsjo ˈsarri]; born 10 January 1959) is an Italian professional football coach who is manager of Premier League club Chelsea.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri is said to be ‘serious’ about a deal to sign Hirving Lozano from PSV.

According to reports from ESPN, as cited on Calciomercato, the Chelsea head coach appears to be a huge fan of the Mexican winger.

Previous reports have suggested that Chelsea had entered the running to sign the player from PSV, but they now look set to step up their interest.

A host of clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United were linked with the pacey winger over the summer.

In what was his first campaign in the Eredivisie last season, Lozano was a standout performer for PSV and continued to step up during the World Cup for Mexico.

Sarri isn't thinking about potential to set record on Sunday

Sarri isn't thinking about potential to set record on Sunday Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri claims he is not thinking about the potential to set a new record against Crystal Palace this weekend. If the Blues avoid defeat against the Eagles, it would mean the club would have gone 11 games unbeaten under their new boss – a record for a new Premier League manager in his debut season. However, Sarri claims he isn’t thinking about the record, and is instead choosing to focus on the task at hand. Talking ahead of the Sunday afternoon fixture, Sarri said: “I don’t want to think about the record.” “We have to think only about the match. We have to think only about how to gain points. The record is only a consequence.” Sarri also explained that Eden Hazard, who has been nursing a back injury, is expected to return as a substitute at Stamford Bridge. Sarri continued: “Yesterday he had a large part in training and maybe he will not be ready to play 90 minutes at the moment because that was his first training in the last two weeks.” “Probably he will be able to play 40 or 45 minutes and for us that is important. But I want to speak to him first.

Lozano himself is well aware of the interest in his services and has failed to hide his admiration for the Premier League recently when being quizzed on his future.

After attracting a wealth of interest over the summer, he is expected to be one of the more in-demand players in January once again.

Sarri tells Chelsea to complete a deal for Houssem Aouar.
Maurizio Sarri has reportedly told Chelsea to complete a deal to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar. According to reports in France from RMC, as cited on the Metro, the Italian head coach is keen to bring the Lyon star to the Premier League. The report claims Sarri remains interested in strengthening his midfield, despite the signings of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, who joined from Napoli and Real Madrid respectively in the summer. Sarri appears unwilling to rest on the strength in depth he has available and is looking to add to his options. Aouar, who is valued at £30 million by Lyon, is believed to be the man Sarri wants to fill the number eight role in his midfield. Lyon are refusing to sell in January, meaning a summer move is more likely, but both Barcelona and Liverpool are said to be keeping a close eye on the player who is very highly rated in Ligue 1.
