The report claims that both Liverpool and Spurs are ‘following him carefully’. Marusic is a versatile player, who can play in a more advanced role either on the left or the right, as well as in defence. Jurgen Klopp appears keen to strengthen defensively, with Alberto Moreno set to leave to the club. Moreno is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Barcelona recently. There are also concerns over Nathaniel Clyne’s long-term future at Anfield. The former Southampton man has lost his place in the first-team to Trent Alexander-Arnold and has found game time hard to come by after struggling with injuries.

Southampton have been linked with a move for Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson. Manolo Gabbiadini could be set to leave Southampton for Lazio , with Italian reports claiming that talks Lazio are getting ready a summer time swoop for out-of-favour Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini

It is reported that Lazio are interested in signing forward Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli. With Arkudiusz Milik edging closer to a return from injury and the possible January signing of Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti, he may soon find himself down the pecking order at San Paolo.

Lazio are keen to sign Manolo Gabbiadini from Southampton in the January transfer window, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Bologna ahead of the upcoming transfer window but Lazio are the latest club to be touted as a potential destination.

Gabbiadini has found himself in and out of the team this season under Mark Hughes and was excluded from the matchday squad entirely on Sunday, as Saints were defeated 6-1 by Manchester City.

The Italy international has often reiterated his desire to prove himself at St Mary’s Stadium but is understood to be growing ever frustrated with the limited amount of opportunities he is being presented with.

Rangers preparing loan offer for Davis with option to buy

Rangers preparing loan offer for Davis with option to buy Rangers are said to be preparing an offer to sign Southampton midfielder Steven Davis on loan with an option to buy. According to a report from the Belfast Telegraph, the Scottish side are working on a move to re-sign the player during the January window. Davis was heavily linked with a return to Rangers over the summer, but Southampton refused to sell. The player has since found game time hard to come by in the Premier League, falling out of favour under Mark Hughes. Rangers have remained keen and are hopeful that they will be able to lure him back to the club in January. Steven Gerrard has been very particular in his transfer business since taking over at the Scottish club, mixing experienced players with young exciting prospects. Davis himself has never hidden his intention to return to Rangers, making the deal sound like a matter of when and not if.

Newcastle linked with a swoop for Filip Helander. Gabbiadini has been perennially linked with a return to Italy following his move to Southampton from Napoli at the start of last year. This has led Calciomercato.it to believe that Southampton have made Gabbiadini available for a January loan.

It’s reported that the Saints will accept an initial loan fee worth between €2 million to €3 million, with a potential option to buy at the end of the season set at a price of only €13 million.

Southampton have a plethora of strikers at their disposal and Gabbiadini does not appear to be high up in Hughes’ current pecking order.

Lazio director Igli Tare is a known admirer of Gabbiadini’s qualities and ahead of the January transfer window, it’s reported that he is prepared to make another move for the Saints star.

Liverpool winger Shaqiri linked with Galatasaray loan move.
Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri has been linked with a loan exit to Turkish giants Galatasaray ahead of the January transfer window. The Reds completed a deal for Shaqiri only during the summer transfer window, as they were able to fend off competition from elsewhere to sign the player from Stoke City in a £13 million deal. Shaqiri has caught the eye with some cameo appearances for Liverpool this season but has yet to nail down a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up. The Switzerland international was recruited to add further quality in depth to Liverpool’s pool of attacking options, with Klopp having eyed wide options to deputise for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah when necessary. Nevertheless, according to claims from TMW, Shaqiri is already being lined up for a January loan exit, with Galatasaray interested in securing his services. Liverpool are unlikely to be keen on parting ways with Shaqiri in the near future given the need for depth this season, but it seems the former Bayern Munich star is hot property ahead of the January transfer window.
