AC Milan looking at deal for Liverpool's Fabinho

AC Milan looking at deal for Liverpool's Fabinho AC Milan have emerged as a potential suitor for Liverpool midfielder Fabinho, according to reports from Italy. Despite starting the last 3 games for the Reds Fabinho has struggled to hold down a consistent starting spot for Jurgen Klopp’s side. The report from the Corriere Dello Sport, via Inside Futbol, suggests that AC Milan hold an interest in signing the Brazilian this January. This is despite reports suggesting that Fabinho is likely to stay at Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp keen to keep the defensive midfielder at Anfield despite his lack of playing time. The Brazilian joined the Reds over the Summer for a fee of over €45 million, but has struggled to get into Jurgen Klopp’s side. The midfielder has been stuck behind Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson and James Milner, but has got into the first team as of late. However, the returns of Keita and Henderson could see Fabinho return to the bench.

Liverpool watching Real Sociedad's Diego Llorente

Liverpool watching Real Sociedad's Diego Llorente Liverpool are reportedly scouting Real Sociedad and Spain star Diego Llorente, according to recent reports. The Reds sent scouts to watch the defender, with Spain taking on Croatia in the UEFA Nation’s League. However, they were left disappointed with the 25-year-old being an unused substitute. The report by Cadena SER, cited by 101greatgoals.com, suggests the Reds have an interest in the former Real Madrid defender, who could be available for as little as 30 million euros, as per his release clause. Jurgen Klopp could be looking to improve his defence, but would not be the only Premier League boss interested in the Spaniard. Newcastle and Tottenham are both taking a look at Llorente. The match against Croatia wasn’t the only time Liverpool had watched Llorente, according to the report. Scouts sent by the Reds also watched the defender in Real Sociedad’s 3-1 win over Levante last week. The Reds could also have been watching other stars in the game, where Croatia managed a 3-2 win over the former World and European champions.

Jürgen Klopp’s Charity Dinner raises £50,000

Jürgen Klopp’s Charity Dinner raises £50,000 On Monday, Liverpool Football Club’s official charity, LFC Foundation, raised £50,000 during a special Gala Dinner with Jürgen Klopp. LFC Foundation expressed its thanks to the LFC family and to Liverpool FC Manager and LFC Foundation Ambassador, Jürgen Klopp, for giving time to support the fundraiser – with monies raised going to LFC Foundation’s MOVE project at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. The project specifically supports Alder Hey patients who have Cystic Fibrosis. The power of football and the LFC badge are used to encourage them to partake in plenty of physical activity, which is critical to improving the quality of life and increasing the life expectancy of children living with the condition. Jürgen recently visited Alder Hey to learn about the MOVE project; meeting patient, Carson Kehoe (13) and Physiotherapist in Cystic Fibrosis, Adam Walsh; who were both guests at the lavish event in Liverpool Cathedral. Guests were welcomed into the stunning venue by Dean of Liverpool, Dr. Sue Jones, and enjoyed sounds from the ‘Liverpool Harmonic Gospel Choir’ which included a heart-warming rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Guests watched from their tables as a montage of Jürgen’s best moments were projected onto the big screen, before the evening’s compere, Peter McDowell, introduced Jürgen onto the stage.

Klopp hits back at those questioning Liverpool's midfield

Klopp hits back at those questioning Liverpool's midfield Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp did not react too kindly to having his midfield selection questioned ahead of this weekend’s Merseyside Derby. As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp hit back at his critics following the midweek defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. “We conceded five [league] goals and you say our midfield is overrun? I don’t see that. No, I don’t see any problems in midfield.” Following the concerns over Liverpool’s options in the middle of the park, Klopp was quizzed about if the players who feature on Sunday will be ready for what will be an highly-anticipated clash. It is fair to say that Klopp did not take too kindly to some of the questions being put forward. “Are they ready? We will see, we have to prove it. If I said: we have a real problem, I don’t have enough time to make them ready for a derby, what kind of idiot would I be?” “Jordan is not available. What should I do? Ask the FA? I really do not understand a lot of your questions today. Yes, my players are ready but they have to prove it on Sunday.” A number of pundits and journalists have questioned Klopp’s decision to start with a midfield three of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Gin Wijnaldum on Wednesday night. Despite Klopp’s defence of his team, the decision was one that backfired for the Reds, with the Ligue 1 champions getting the better of Liverpool for large spells of the game.

Klopp reveals reason for Milner position change.
The former England international will start at right-back against Bournemouth with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the bench , Klopp has gone for experience for the key game at the Vitality Stadium. Though the 32-year-old has spent much of the last two campaigns in midfield, he made 37 appearances at left-back during the 2016-17 campaign and enjoyed much success. “It’s no problem," Klopp told Sky Sports. "I thought it could be a problem, but obviously he would have even played goalkeeper in game number 500! “We need to be flexible, all of us, in the period – different positions, different jobs to do in the games.
