"We both were seeing therapists and stuff, trying to work on our relationship. So I was like, 'I can't believe you — you're back to doin' this.'"

To set the record straight, Ennis detailed what really happened as she repeated the story she initially told police.

"He dragged me down the stairs two or three times, he punched me in my face two or three times, pulled my hair, kicked me, spit on me," Ennis said.

Ennis added that the 49ers attempted to interfere with the police investigation at one point before Foster was cut.

"The 49ers came up there. I have pictures of the 49ers coming up there talking to police, saying I’m the same ex-girlfriend who sat up there and lied," Ennis said.

Foster was released by the Niners on Nov. 25, one day after he was arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident. The Redskins then claimed Foster off waivers two days after he was cut by the Niners.

"I can’t believe somebody picked him up," Ennis said, adding that it felt like a "slap in the face."

Foster had a previous domestic-violence charge dropped in May after Ennis recanted her statements. He served a two-game suspension for a marijuana-related charge as well as a gun-possession charge stemming from the dropped domestic-violence charge.

Foster remains on the commissioner's exempt list as the league's investigation into his most recent altercation continues.

Niners coach Kyle Shanahan hopes this is 'rock bottom' for Reuben Foster.
San Francisco's coach spent much of his press conference Monday discussing the arrest and release of linebacker Reuben Foster. San Francisco officially released Foster earlier that day after he was arrested on a domestic-violence battery charge Saturday night at the team's hotel during an away game in Tampa. In addition to this weekend's incident, a prior domestic violence report from October was also discovered. Shanahan said the Niners were “absolutely not” aware of the Oct. 12 incident or report involving Foster that was made to the Santa Clara Police Department.
