According to a report from the Mirror, as cited on talkSPORT, all three clubs are interested in signing the player during the January transfer window. Woodman is highly rated at Newcastle but has failed to break into their first-team plans. The England youth international has been tipped for a big move from a young age, despite the lack of senior appearances. Leeds are said to have launched an approach to sign the player after suffering a goalkeeping crisis at Elland Road, however, new reports reveal they will face competition for his signature. Arsenal only signed Bernd Leno over the summer but the opportunity to sign one of England’s brightest young prospects could be too good to turn down for the Gunners with Petr Cech reaching the latter stages of his career.

West Ham winger Sofiane Feghouli is set to complete his move to Galatasaray. Feghouli moved to the Premier League last year but failed to show his abilities in the London club. He moved from Valencia where he made almost 150 appearances in La Liga.

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez will try to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi on loan, according to the Daily Mirror. The former Marseille forward has also been linked with West Ham. According to the Daily Mail, Rafa Benitez’s side will hold talks with the player’s club this week in a bid to complete a £25 million deal. The playmaker has been heavily linked with a number of English clubs ahead of the January window. Arsenal were believed to be favourites for his signature earlier in the season, but Newcastle appear to have overtaken them. West Ham and Tottenham have previously been credited with an interest. Almiron has long been regarded as one of the most creative and attacking players in the MLS, earning a plenty of admirers after netting 12 times and providing 14 assists in 35 games. Unai Emery clearly remains keen to add to his midfield options, with the Gunners also being linked with Pablo Fornals.

Newcastle told to pay £23m to sign Almiron.
Newcastle have been told that they have to pay around £23 million if they want to sign Miguel Almiron in January. The Guardian’s Ed Aarons states that no official bid has been lodged from Newcastle, despite previous reports suggesting a deal to bring the Paraguayan in is close. Talks over a deal that will see the player move to the Premier League are believed to be ongoing, with Rafa Benitez hoping to reach some agreement. Newcastle have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Atlanta playmaker, but they are facing competition from Premier League rivals West Ham. Arsenal had been linked previously, but now appear to have cooled their interest in the player. The Magpies are hoping that they can strengthen in January in their bid to once again stay in the Premier League. A recent run of form has pulled them away from the bottom three, but the signing of Almiron would also be a huge boost for the club.
