Emery watching Peaky Blinders to learn English Learning English is always a challenge for Premier League imports and Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has turned to a Birmingham-set TV show.

Unai Emery admitted that he nearly replaced Alexandre Lacazette before his stunning opener in Arsenal's ‘At that point we needed a change to stop their attacking moments but then we scored and I Emery praised summer signing Lucas Torreira for keeping his discipline after an early booking in

But Emery said he was pleased with Cech’s performance and suggested he would be regularly rotating his goalkeepers in the weeks and months ahead. Cech made some good saves but also looked shaky at times, especially in possession. “We want competence with the goalkeepers and all the players in

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has explained why he prefers to make early substitutions, claiming that sometimes it is important to make a change regardless of how it may turn out.

And it has so far paid off for the club, with Arsenal leading the Premier League goals and assists charts for substitutes this season.

Talking about why he opts to make changes early, as quoted by the club’s official website, Emery said:

The Gunners made it 19 games unbeaten in all competitions and Emery is now focusing on another testing examination away at Manchester United in midweek. “Now I am thinking of the match on Wednesday in Manchester,” he said. “It is a very big victory, we showed our supporters and we gave

“It depends on the moment, how the match is going, but one situation we are living here is in the first half we couldn’t finish winning in the 15 matches in the Premier League. That is one reason, I need to [make changes].”

Emery "in a hurry" to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Navas.
Unai Emery is “in a hurry” to sign goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Real Madrid, according to El Confidencial. The Arsenal manager is rumoured to be eyeing up a deal for the Costa Rica international in January. The report states that Emery is not convinced by summer signing Bernd Leno, with the German’s late mistake away to Southampton last Sunday leading to a 3-2 defeat. Navas is suffering a frustrating time of things in Madrid, with Thibaut Courtois now the undisputed first-choice ‘keeper. The 32-year-old is valued at around €14million (£12.6million) and Arsenal could make a surprise swoop. Whether or not the board meet Emery’s request remains to be seen, but it would be a blow for Leno. He only arrived prior to the start of this season, and if the report is true, it would appears as though Emery has lost faith very quickly. It is a move that makes sense for Navas, with more regular football than he is currently enjoying likely. He has made just two La Liga appearances for the European champions this season.
