Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone seemed as mystified as any casual football fan who watched Jacksonville stumble its way to a 30-9 loss to the Titans on Thursday night.

Titans running back Derrick Henry torched Jacksonville's once-vaunted defense for 238 yards and four touchdowns. Henry embarrassed the Jaguars on one play in particular, a record-tying 99-yard touchdown run where he appeared to break or elude four or five Jaguars tackles, three of those with a stiff arm.

After the game, Marrone said he was "heavily disappointed," and pointed out the obvious: the Jags didn't tackle well against Henry.

"Well, I think when you go to look at the film, I don't think you're going to see the effort," Marrone told reporters. "You're going to say, 'Why you got stiff-armed on the tackle.'

"We just didn't get him (Henry) down. I mean, there were guys around him. You see a hit, he goes on, another guy is running, guys running from the other side of the field, guys running from behind. We just didn't tackle. When you look at the film, that's what you're going to see."

There's been plenty of grumbling from Jaguars fans about quarterback Blake Bortles and the offense this season. Bortles has been benched, but this game showed there are problems on the other side of the ball, too.

Marrone credited Henry on his career night.

"He's a good stiff-arm player, you've got to go low on him … he's a tough player to tackle," Marrone said.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph on his job security: 'That's not my concern'.
Denver GM John Elway reportedly met with former coach Mike Shanahan last offseason to discuss the possibility of him replacing Joseph. But, the second-year coach is choosing to focus on the team's upcoming game instead. "I've spoken to John, that's a private conversation," Joseph said Monday, via NFL.com. "That's the least of my worries is the article ... That's not my concern ... What's being written, being said, that's not my concern." The Broncos finished 2017 with a 5-11 record and missed the playoffs for a second straight season. It was their first losing season since 2010 when Denver finished 4-12.
