Lallana won't be loaned out this month

Lallana won't be loaned out this month Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will not be loaned out in this January transfer window, according to Sky Sports News. Reports had emerged earlier today linking the England international with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahçe, with Jurgen Klopp said to be keen on getting more minutes under Lallana’s belt. However, Sky Sports News have shot down these claims, saying their sources have told them that Lallana will be staying put. Klopp is apparently keen on reintegrating Lallana back into his squad, now that the former Southampton man has seemingly recovered from the latest in a series of injuries that have limited his game time in recent months. The 30-year old midfielder made two substitute appearances for the Reds over the Christmas period, and Klopp is keen to see him continue to feature for his first-team, who still sit top of the Premier League table.

Adam Lallana has travelled to Spain with Liverpool 's squad as they gear up to face Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, much to the delight of manager Jurgen Klopp . Given Klopp 's comments, a starting spot for Lallana would seem unlikely, but his return is a timely boost for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Adam Lallana still remains a key player in his Liverpool squad.

The England international has endured a miserable 18 months on Merseyside after suffering a string of injuries that have severely limited his game time.

Lallana made a few appearances for the Reds over the Christmas period and was expected to line up against Wolves in the FA Cup earlier this week, however the former Southampton man pulled up in training, which has now ruled him out for this Saturday’s game against Brighton.

Klopp confirms Moreno will start against Wolves

Klopp confirms Moreno will start against Wolves Alberto Moreno will be in the Liverpool starting line-up that faces Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. The Reds boss spoke to the media ahead of his side’s FA Cup third round clash and delivered assurances that the Spanish defender will be handed a rare opportunity to shine. As quoted by Metro, Klopp hailed the left-back as an ‘unbelievable professional’. When asked if Moreno would start against Wolves, he said: “Alberto is another example for being an unbelievable professional person and a really important part of the dressing room. He is from the positive side of the planet I would say.” “I can say Alberto will play as well, there is no doubt about that. He has to play, that’s clear.” The 26-year-old will see his current contract at Anfield expire when the season draws to a close, with no further extension appearing to be on the table. This indicates that the former Sevilla star could move on for free in the summer as he continues to struggle for game-time on a regular basis under Klopp on Merseyside. Nevertheless, it seems Moreno is still held in high esteem by his manager as he prepares to depend on him to help the team advance through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Lallana’s struggles to play for the Reds has inevitably led to speculation suggesting the 30-year old could be on the move this month, however Klopp insists Lallana is still very much an important squad player.

Talking ahead of this weekend’s game, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp explained how Lallana has been able to keep bouncing back from disappointment, saying:

“We are in close contact and it’s just a shame for Adam.”

“It’s not serious, he’ll probably be available for next week. It was only a little thing but it was enough to put him out of the Wolves game.”

“Of course it’s not nice, who would like that after the season he’s had? But you can’t change things that happened a day ago or an hour ago.”
