The Packers failed to secure an interview with their new head coach Matt LaFleur's younger brother.

According to ESPN, the 49ers rejected the Packers' request to interview Mike LaFleur, who is currently a wide receivers coach for San Francisco. The Browns and Vikings have also reportedly shown interest in him.

Matt LaFleur has worked with 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan in Houston, Washington and Atlanta.

Green Bay will continue to search for offensive minds to help improve the team after a disappointing 6-9-1 finish this season.

San Francisco appears to be ready to hold on to its young coaching assets for as long as possible.
