More pressure at Napoli than Chelsea, insists under-fire Sarri Increasing scrutiny at Chelsea does not concern Maurizio Sarri because he believes his time at Napoli left him more under the microscope.

Thibaut Courtois recently discussed his summer move from Chelsea to Real Madrid and insisted that he had ‘zero problems’ at Stamford Bridge, Goal reports.

The Belgian international was the subject of a transfer saga towards the end of the summer as he completed a late switch to Los Blancos after indicating to the Blues that he was keen on an exit.

Courtois’ contract was due to expire in the summer of 2019, which prompted Chelsea into agreeing to sell him to Real Madrid, who sought an upgrade on Keylor Navas in goal.

Willian and Chelsea hurtling for contract stand-off

Willian and Chelsea hurtling for contract stand-off Chelsea seem to be no strangers to problems extending contracts, and Willian is the next player to have an issue with the deal presented to him. With his current contract set to expire at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, the Blues are presently attempting to give the forward a one-year extension. The 30-year-old, however, wants more than that. A UOL report (translated by Sport Witness) states that the Brazilian instead wants three more years added to his deal, evidently happy with his surroundings in West London.

This led Chelsea to recruit Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, making him the world’s most-expensive ever goalkeeper in the process.

Ahead of Real’s upcoming Champions League match against Ajax, Courtois discussed how his summer switch to the Bernabeu Stadium came about, insisting that there was no bad blood between him and Chelsea.

As quoted by Spanish news outlet ABC, he said:

“I don’t know any player that wouldn’t want to play for Real Madrid. I was really happy at Chelsea, I felt completely integrated at the club and I had great teammates. Zero problems.”

“But Real Madrid came knocking and obviously when Madrid show an interest, it’s the biggest call you can get in football.”

Kepa insists he wasn't disobeying Sarri in EFL Cup final confusion.
Kepa Arrizabalaga said he did not try to disobey Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri in a remarkable final few minutes of the EFL Cup final.
