Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini says he would be open to making his Nottingham Forest stay permanent this summer.

Bonatini added that any discussions over his future will have to wait until the end of the season, as reported by the Express and Star.

The 24-year-old has not exactly hit the ground running at the City Ground, making just four appearances for the club since his January deadline day loan switch.

All of those have come from the substitutes bench, and he is yet to open his goalscoring account for Martin O’Neill’s side.

However, the Brazilian says he has enjoyed his short stay in Nottingham, explaining that the club has ‘very good conditions’.

He said:

“It is a really good team and they have very good conditions here. Even if we don’t achieve the playoffs and we are staying in the Championship next season, I would like to stay because I have found it really good. But of course I know that it is not just about me; I have a contract with Wolves. But I am enjoying being here. I think it depends on how I finish the season here. Wolves are doing well, too. I don’t know. It’s something we’ll just have to wait until the summer.”

The forward initially joined Wolves in August 2017 on a season-long loan and scored 12 Championship goals as Nuno Espirito Santo’s men gained promotion.

Roma and Inter could swoop for Kovacic.
Serie A duo Roma and Inter Milan are reportedly both watching Mateo Kovacic’s situation at Chelsea closely. The midfielder is currently on loan at the club from Real Madrid following his temporary switch last summer, and the Blues are unlikely to be able to complete a permanent deal for the player. Maurizio Sarri’s side have been struck by a transfer ban that will last for the next two windows, indicating that Chelsea may not be allowed to make Kovacic’s stay at Stamford Bridge permanent.
