The Le'Veon Bell bomb has dropped.

The free-agent running back is closing in on a deal with the Jets, ending months of speculation as to where the star would land following his departure from Pittsburgh.

ESPN was the first to report the move, noting the deal is not yet finalized.

ESPN previously noted there was a "good likelihood" that Bell would choose the Jets, Colts, Ravens, Packers, Texans or Bills sometime Tuesday. The frenzy resulted in numerous fake and conflicting reports throughout the day.

Bell, 27, was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 2013 draft and has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh. However, he's been vocal about his unhappiness since he was franchise tagged for the second straight year last offseason and sat out all last season amid his contract dispute.

He last played 15 regular-season games in 2017 and made an appearance in the team's lone playoff game that season.
