NFL free agency rumors: Ravens are favorites to land RB Mark Ingram

NFL free agency rumors: Ravens are favorites to land RB Mark Ingram Ingram, 29, ran for 645 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games playing behind a Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara last season. Although Baltimore was second in the NFL in rushing yards last season, its rushing attack mainly depended on quarterback Lamar Jackson down the stretch. Gus Edwards was the teams leading rusher with 718 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in 11 games. Jackson totaled 695 rushing yards and five scores as a runner. Baltimore won the AFC North with a 10-6 record last season but lost to the Chargers in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Lamar Jackson's backup is back.

The Ravens have agreed to bring back Robert Griffin III on a two-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

Baltimore brought in Griffin on a one-year contract last season to serve as Joe Flacco's backup and as a temporary safety blanket for Jackson as the rookie learned the offense.

The team carried three quarterbacks during the year to prevent losing Griffin as he was a good presence in the locker room for Jackson, according to NFL Network.

Griffin went 2 of 6 for 21 yards for Baltimore last season after sitting out all of 2017.

Robert Griffin III sued by former agent for $650K.
Still only 29 years old, Griffin has earned $29.2 million as an NFL quarterback.
