Crystal Palace player ratings: Huddersfield (H) Crystal Palace took a big step towards Premier League survival by beating Huddersfield 2-0 at Selhurst Park, confirming the Terriers relegation to the Championship. Palace didn’t have the greatest first 45 minutes but managed to put Huddersfield to the sword in the second half. The Terriers gave away a penalty on 76 minutes, with Luka Milivojevic sends Ben Hamer the wrong way to give Palace the lead. Crystal Palace battled hard but fell to defeat as they lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Sunday.

A double from Raheem Sterling appeared to put City in cruise control, but a free-kick from Luka Milivojevic brought Palace back into the game with ten minutes to go.

However, City killed the game off in the 90th minute as Gabriel Jesus made space for himself in the box before finding the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

Crystal Palace capitalised on a shocking defensive display from Arsenal on Sunday afternoon to win 3-2 in a thrilling game at the Emirates and mathematically ensure their Premier League status for another season. Christian Benteke scored his first goal in nearly a year to give Roy Hodgson’s side the lead early on, after he was left unmarked from a Palace free kick. Mesut Ozil equalised two minutes into the second half as Arsenal came out flying following the break, but poor defending from Shkodran Mustafi allowed Wilfried Zaha to restore Palace’s lead on the hour mark.
