Celtic keen on summer move for Graeme Shinnie

Celtic keen on summer move for Graeme Shinnie Celtic are reportedly hopeful of landing Scotland international and Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie in the summer, according to the Bristol Post, cited by HITC. Current Celtic left-back Emilio Izaguirre looks set to leave the club for a second time in the summer when his contract expires, while star Kieran Tierney has continued to be linked with a summer move away from Celtic Park. Shinnie, 27, has been a regular in The Dons’ line-up since arriving from Inverness Caledonian Thistle back in 2015, with the defender making close to 200 appearances for his current club.

Celtic are reportedly interested in landing Wigan Athletic star Nick Powell this summer.

The Hoops were linked with a move to sign the midfielder during the January transfer window, but he stayed put at the DW Stadium to finish the season with the Latics.

However, as the summer draws ever closer, it seems the race for Powell’s signature is on. According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Celtic are among the clubs who have established an interest in signing him.

The Scottish Premiership leaders are likely to focus on bolstering their squad in the upcoming transfer window, and Powell appears to be a target of theirs.

Celtic will face competition from a plethora of sides from across Europe, though, with rivals Rangers also in the hunt for his signature.

Powell, according to TEAMtalk, is also admired by Bundesliga duo Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig, while Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also keen.

However, it is claimed that the ex-Manchester United youngster would favour a move to a British side. Premier League pair Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion are named as potential suitors, and Championship promotion hopefuls Norwich City and Derby County are interested.

Celtic have "not been made aware" of potential Boyata exit.
Celtic have no knowledge of Dedryck Boyata’s potential move to Hertha Berlin, according to the Daily Record. The centre-back has been strong linked with joining the Bundesliga outfit, with a transfer story over the weekend claiming he was close to agreeing terms. Celtic are not believed to be in the loop with regards to Boyata’s exit, however. The report states that the Belgian’s representatives are “permitted by transfer rules to discuss any potential move for their client with suitors without the need to inform the Scottish champions as his contract at Parkhead expires at the end of the season.
