Bundesliga outfit Augsburg are close to making the permanent signing of Reece Oxford from West Ham, after a deal around £8 million has been discussed.

The defender, who is a product of the East London club’s youth academy, has already spent time playing in Bundesliga having played for Borussia Monchengladbach a number of times on loan.

But it is 14th placed Augsburg, also in the Bundesliga, who are looking to capture the 20-year-old on a permanent deal, with the Hammers valuing the youngster at £8m, according to Sky Sports.
