Southampton monitoring Chelsea youngster Taylor-Crossdale Southampton are showing an interest in signing Chelsea youngster Martell Taylor-Crossdale, according to the Mirror. The 19-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires this summer and there is every chance he will move on. The Blues are yet to agree terms on a new deal and the young striker may feel that first-team opportunities are more likely to come his way elsewhere. Despite having a big reputation at Chelsea, it is difficult to see where playing time will be given to him, even though a two-window transfer ban could still come their way.

Southampton are keeping tabs on Martell Taylor-Crossdale’s situation at Chelsea, according to claims from The Mirror.

The young striker’s contract at Stamford Bridge comes to an end this summer, and it seems he could be on the move if the Blues are unable to agree on terms on a new deal.

Taylor-Crossdale is, as per the report, held in high esteem by coaches at the West London club, but his future is currently under scrutiny ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 19-year-old has often been hailed for his displays in the Chelsea youth ranks, and his consistent form has not gone unnoticed.

Championship outfit Bristol City are understood to be in the race for the attacker’s signature this summer, while Fulham are keen to bring him to Craven Cottage following their relegation from the Premier League.

Southampton could add to their attacking options ahead of next season, but whether or not Taylor-Crossdale would play a part in the first team if he were to be signed is unclear.

Sarri wants Higuain at Chelsea next season.
Maurizio Sarri believes Gonzalo Higuain has plenty to offer Chelsea if he stays at the club next season. The Argentine arrived on loan at Stamford Bridge in January, having already been on a temporary spell at AC Milan from Juventus. Higuain has failed to impress the masses in the four mouths since his arrival, however, with many supporters left underwhelmed by his performances. The 31-year-old has scored just five goals in 16 appearances for the Blues, with his all-round performances often criticised.
