Everton enjoyed a good summer of transfers last year as they made a host of impressive additions to their squad.

The likes of Yerry Mina, Kurt Zouma, Richarlison and Andre Gomes have all been good players for the club this season, along with Lucas Digne.

Everton brought in Digne from Barcelona last summer for a reported fee of £18m and the Frenchman has caught the eye with his performances this season.

Regardless of where they finish, they will be looking to improve on that even further, when new boss Brendan Rodgers will be able to take them further in what will be his first full season at the King Power Stadium.

Behind him in the pecking order is 34-year-old Leighton Baines, who has played six games in the league this season.

Marco Silva may look at this and decide that he wants to bring in a younger deputee for Digne, to rotate across the 2019/20 campaign.

Everton are linked with Joao Mario - Would he be a good signing?.
Everton are reportedly interested in Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario, according to Tuttomercatoweb. The Italian source claim that Mario is set to leave the San Siro this summer, and that Everton and Monaco are both keen on signing the midfielder, who was previously on loan with West Ham. The Toffees are keen on landing a few midfielders this summer, that much we know. Would Mario represent a smart use of the club’s transfer funds? Well first thing’s first, the report claims that it would only take €16million to land the Portugal international, which is relatively small in today’s market.
