West Ham chasing Turkish star Calhanoglu West Ham are chasing the signature of AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu but will face competition from mid-table rivals Leicester City. The 25-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move after a couple of impressive seasons at the Italian giants, setting up 13 goals this season. The Turkish playmaker made a name for himself while playing for Bayer Leverkusen, where he registered 28 goals in 115 appearances. According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik, as cited on HITC, the price tag for the creative forward is around £26m, and reports say he is catching the eye of Premier League clubs including West Ham and Leicester City.

Leicester and West Ham are battling it out to sign AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu this summer.

According to Calcio Mercato, via The Mirror, Leicester are keen on a deal to sign the playmaker at the end of the season.

The report claims that AC Milan are hoping to earn £26m from his sale, after signing him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2017 for a reported fee of £19m.

Calhanoglu is said to be a free-kick specialist, although Leicester already have one of their own in the form of James Maddison – who has scored several impressive free-kicks this season.

The Turkish international, Calhanolgu, has scored once in 33 Serie A appearances for Milan this season. Although, he has managed a respectable six assists for the Italian giants.

In all, Calhanoglu has scored 10 goals in 88 appearances for Milan since joining the club, after netting 28 in 115 for Leverkusen.

Leicester target Andre Almeida is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Benfica. According to Portuguese media outlet O Jogo, cited by Sport Witness, Benfica are set to tie both their full-backs down to new deals, with the pair not looking likely to leave the club this summer. Despite pen yet to be put to paper, the club is adamant that the players will remain at Estadio da Luz, even though there has been plenty of interest from English clubs. Leicester are just one of the sides who were looking to bring the full back to the Premier League, amid fears their number one left-back Ben Chilwell could be lured away with a transfer to Manchester City over the summer.
