Augsburg set to sign Oxford in permanent deal

Augsburg set to sign Oxford in permanent deal Bundesliga outfit Augsburg are close to making the permanent signing of Reece Oxford from West Ham, after a deal around £8 million has been discussed. The defender, who is a product of the East London club’s youth academy, has already spent time playing in Bundesliga having played for Borussia Monchengladbach a number of times on loan. But it is 14th placed Augsburg, also in the Bundesliga, who are looking to capture the 20-year-old on a permanent deal, with the Hammers valuing the youngster at £8m, according to Sky Sports. Currently on loan in Germany after joining in January, Oxford has made six appearances and is set to return to the London Stadium this summer.

Gustavo Leonardo Cuéllar Gallegos (born October 14, 1992) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Brazilian Série A club Flamengo.

West Ham have reportedly agreed a £24.3m deal with Flamengo for Colombia midfielder Gustavo Cuellar, according to South American journalist Gustavo Henrique Dando Choque, cited by Claret and Hugh.

The report claims that the Hammers will pay the fee in three instalments, with the midfielder set to sign the contract in July following the Copa America.

Cuellar could also remain at Flamengo until December as part of the deal before making the move to the London Stadium.

The 26-year-old joined Flamengo back in January 2017 for £1.6m from Colombian side Deportivo Cali.

Since then, the midfielder has been a key member for the Brazilian based side, making over 100 appearances.

The midfielder has five senior Colombia caps to his name and could prove to be a shrewd signing by the Hammers if the deal goes through.

Cuellar is regarded as a ball playing midfielder who isn’t afraid of a tackle, so could be a possible replacement for Declan Rice, who has been heavily linked with a move away this summer.

Wolves join West Ham in race to sign Camarasa.
Wolves have joined West Ham in the race to sign Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa this summer. According to The Daily Mail, both clubs are keen on securing a deal to bring him back to England ahead of next season. Camarasa spent the 2018/19 Premier League campaign on loan to Cardiff, who finished 18th in the table and were relegated back down to the Championship. West Ham and Wolves are now looking to offer him a second chance in the top tier of English football, as they both aim to strengthen their midfield options. The 24-year-old managed five goals and four assists from midfield for Cardiff, with Brighton and Everton also said to be showing an interest in the Spaniard.
