Rating Arsenal's 2018/19 signings With Arsene Wenger departing last summer, this season was always going to be a transitional one for Arsenal. They have had their fair share of ups and downs, but overall it’s been a good first campaign under Unai Emery. The Gunners have missed out on a Champions League place in the league, but their hopes of qualification hinges on their Europa League Final against Chelsea. Getting the recruitment right was always going to be crucial if Wolverhampton Wanderers were to enjoy a successful first season back in the Premier League.

Having stormed to the Championship title, manager Nuno Espirito Santo had to strike a fine act between rewarding the players who had got them there and strengthening the squad in key positions.

It’s safe to say the Molineux club achieved more than expected, in both the league and domestic competition.

Wolves eventually finished 7th in the table with 57 points to their name, making them the ‘best of the rest’ outside of the league’s ‘big six’ clubs.

In addition, Espirito Santo guided them to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, in which they suffered a heartbreaking extra-time defeat to Javi Gracia’s Watford.

Owners Fosun International are likely to splash the cash further this summer, with the aim of building on the achievements of this campaign.

With this in mind, we have decided to take a look at all of Wolves’ signings this season and rate them from A-F as to how successful they have been.

Five players Wolves could look to sign on loan this summer.
This summer is set to be a big one for Wolverhampton Wanderers after the successes of last season. The Europa League beckons after the club finished 7th in their first season back in the Premier League, meaning Nuno Espirito Santo will need greater squad depth if the club are to compete in all competitions. The club have already confirmed the permanent signing of striker Raul Jimenez, who enjoyed a goal-filled season on loan from Benfica. In order to keep a tight rein on finances, club bosses could look to the loan market in order to supplement their squad.
