Arsenal enter race for Norwich target Alexis Claude-Maurice Norwich City could face stiff competition from Arsenal in their pursuit of Lorient’s Alexis Claude-Maurice this summer, with the Gunners reportedly eyeing a move for the striker. Claude-Maurice has scored 14 and assisted four goals in 34 appearances for the Ligue 2 side, and the Canaries have been monitoring the 20-year-old’s progress this season. However, according to the Mirror, Arsenal have now entered the race for the highly sought after striker, who has also attracted attention from the likes of LOSC Lille, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Monaco.

Norwich City are tracking Lorient star Alexis Claude-Maurice ahead of a potential swoop for the young forward this summer.

According to L’Equipe, Norwich, Frankfurt and Real Sociedad are all interested in a deal for the striker following his impressive performances this season for the French side.

The report claims that Lorient are willing to let him go for a fee in the region of €10m, which would be a club-record for Norwich if they were to push through a deal.

Norwich’s current transfer record is held between three players, with Steven Naismith, Timm Klose and Ricky Van Wolfswinkel all reportedly joining the club for roughly £8.5m.

Claude-Maurice netted 14 goals for Lorient in Ligue 2 this season and is thought to be a very promising forward, at just 20-years-old.

Norwich are said to be “closely interested” in Claude-Maurice, which suggests that that they are ahead of Frankfurt and Sociedad in the race to land the Frenchman.

Norwich linked with move for Harper.
Norwich City are reportedly interested in a deal to sign West Brom midfielder Rekeem Harper this summer. As reported by The Pink’Un, Norwich and Tottenham are both keen on the talented youngster who has made a name for himself this season. Harper has burst onto the scene at West Brom in 2019 and impressed with a number of stand-out performances in midfield. The teenager, in fact, made his first Championship start for West Brom in a 1-1 draw with Norwich back in January. He played a part in the opening goal for West Brom, spraying the ball out to Mason Holgate who then whipped it in for Dwight Gayle to make it 1-0.
