Norwich eyeing deal to sign Palmer this summer

Norwich eyeing deal to sign Palmer this summer Norwich and Sheffield United are battling it out to land Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer this summer. According to The Mirror, via West London Sport, Norwich and Sheffield United are both interested in making him one of their first Premier League signings. Both clubs secured promotion to the top-flight last weekend, with the summer transfer window to improve their squad for next season now on the agenda. Palmer is currently on loan to Bristol City from Chelsea, where he has scored twice in 14 appearances in the Championship. The report claims that Palmer is looking to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal, as he does see himself having a future at Stamford Bridge.

The report claims that Norwich offered Samaris a salary of €2.5m-per-year, as they look to make their first signing of the summer transfer window. Benfica are said to have given him €1.2m-per-year, which means that he declined the chance to double his wage by joining Norwich .

Samaris is an electronic music group from Iceland which formed in January 2011 and consists of Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir (clarinet), Þórður Kári Steinþórsson (electronics) and Jófríður Ákadóttir (vocals).

Norwich City failed in a bid to sign Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris on a free transfer this summer.

According to Portuguese outlet O’Jogo, Norwich offered Samaris a contract, but he decided to turn it down and commit his future to Benfica.

Instead of joining the Premier League side, Samaris put pen to paper on a new deal at Benfica, taking him through to the summer of 2023.

The report claims that Norwich offered Samaris a salary of €2.5m-per-year, as they look to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Benfica are said to have given him €1.2m-per-year, which means that he declined the chance to double his wage by joining Norwich.

Norwich won the Championship title in the 2018/19 season and will now be looking to bolster their squad heading into the Premier League in August.

The 29-year-old, Samaris has played over 150 games for Benfica since joining the club from Olympiacos in 2014.

Norwich set to sign Patrick Roberts on loan.
Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts has agreed to spend next season on loan with Norwich City, according to John Percy of The Telegraph. Roberts spent a total of two and a half seasons on loan at Celtic from January 2016 to the end of the 2017/18 campaign, scoring 18 goals in 79 games, and there had been some suggestions north of the border that he could rejoin the Scottish champions this summer, but that no longer appears to be the case. Man City are keen for Roberts to get some much-needed Premier League experience and with a medical completed at the Canaries, it looks like he’ll be getting that experience at Carrow Road.
