Report claims West Ham aren't interested in defender Koutris

Report claims West Ham aren't interested in defender Koutris West Ham aren’t interested in signing Olympiacos left-back Leonardo Koutris this summer, according to reports. The Hammers had been linked with the Greek full-back, along with fellow Premier League rivals Everton, with reports claiming Manuel Pellegrini was keen on bringing a left-sided defender to the club in the summer. However, according to Greek media outlet SportDog.Gr, as cited by Sport Witness, this looks unlikely. The Greek source claim that West Ham sporting director Mario Husillos, who previously worked for Olympiacos in Greece during the 2016/17 season, has other priorities he will focus on during the next transfer window.

Greek giants Olympiacos have reportedly made contact with Southampton over the possibility of signing out of favour striker Guido Carrillo this summer.

According to Greek website Sdna.Gr, relayed in an article by Sport Witness, the 27-year-old is wanted by Olympiacos to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season, after the club missed out on the Greek title to PAOK.

The Argentine joined the Saints from Monaco last year under the management of Mauricio Pellegrino, however, Carrillo has made just 10 appearances and is yet to register his first Southampton goal.

Southampton keen on deal to sign Mitrovic

Southampton keen on deal to sign Mitrovic Southampton are reportedly eyeing up a deal to sign Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer. According to The Daily Express, Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is keen to bring in a powerful centre-forward and has targeted Mitrovic. The report does claim, however, that Fulham are looking for a fee in the region of £30m for Mitrovic – which Southampton are unlikely to pay. Southampton’s current club-record signing is Guido Carrillo, who joined from Monaco for £19m in January 2018 – failing to score for the club before being shipped out on loan last summer.

The striker was sent out on loan to La Liga outfit Leganes last summer to reunite with Pellegrino, with the forward making 32 appearances in Spain, scoring six times.

Southampton paid €22m for Carrillo last January, so the Saints will be looking to receive a fee as close to that as possible, however, after his poor form in recent years, the club could struggle to make their money back.

Leganes director believes Carrillo has more to give at the club.
Leganes sporting director Txema Indias has hinted that the club would be keen to sign Guido Carrillo from Southampton permanently this summer. The Argentine attacker headed to Spain for his first ventures in La Liga ahead of the 2018/19 campaign after being frozen out at St Mary’s Stadium under Mark Hughes. His predecessor, Mauricio Pellegrino, was the man who recruited Carrillo for the Saints, as he signed his former Estudiantes striker in a club-record £19 million deal from AS Monaco in January 2018. The 27-year-old made 32 appearances in La Liga for Leganes, finding the back of the net on six occasions.
