Tottenham played well for the first half an hour of this game and really should have put the game to bed. Dele Alli and Lucas Moura both had good chances but Bournemouth’s young keeper Mark Travers was equal to them. The wheels seemed to come to off for a relatively strong Spurs side as soon as Heung-Min Son saw red right before the break. Juan Foyth was introduced a half time substitute as Mauricio Pochettino looked to change the shape of his side following Son’s sending off. 
Liverpool player ratings: Premier League 2018/19
Liverpool’s domestic season came to a close last weekend as they missed out on securing the Premier League title on Sunday.
Although Jurgen Klopp’s side won their game, 2-0 against Wolves at Anfield, the matter was taken out of their hands as Manchester City won 4-1 against Brighton to clinch a second successive crown.
Despite missing out of silverware, Liverpool finished second with 97 points – the highest total of any team not to win the title in the history of the Premier League.
Klopp’s men, however, do still have a chance at winning something this season when they face Tottenham in the Champions League final at the start of next month.
Ignoring the Champions League, though, we have decided to take a look back at Liverpool’s Premier League campaign.

Southampton will wrap up their 2018/19 season on Sunday when they welcome Huddersfield Town to St Mary’s Stadium. It’s safe to say that it’s been a turbulent campaign for the Saints. Ralph Hasenhuttl cleaned up the mess left by Mark Hughes to steer the club to safety, and the team will hope to end on a high in front of the home faithful. There have been ups and downs, twists and turns, but the good times have rather outweighed the bad as the season has progressed, with the manager’s arrival proving to be the catalyst for change at St Mary’s. 
Liverpool managed to end their incredible league on a high by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at Anfield and finish second in the table with 97 points on the board. Sadio Mane scored a brace for the Reds to help them get over a line against a Wolves side, who were no pushovers throughout the course of the game. The Reds started the game briskly but the away side sat deep to soak up the pressure and frustrate their opponents. However, in the 17th minute, a deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold cross found its way into the path of Mane six yards away from goal. The Senegalese then had to put his foot through to score his 21st league goal of the season. 
As the season draws to a close it is time to reflect on what was and what could have been for the Toffees. A poor Christmas period in which Everton only won four of 15 league games between December and March hampered what would have been an otherwise impressive season as Everton slumped to a disappointing eighth-place finish. However, a solid run in including draws with Liverpool and Tottenham as well as wins over Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have set the Blues back on track for next season as they once again look to break into the European qualification spots. 
Well then, how do we begin to analyse Chelsea’s season? On paper, a third place finish in the league combined with a Carabao Cup final outing and the Europa League final still to come appears a relative success for Maurizio Sarri in his first season in charge. Victory or defeat against Arsenal in Baku later this month could potentially go a long way to deciding whether the Italian is in charge of the Blues for a second season, however, after the former Napoli manager flirted with the possibility of being sacked multiple times throughout the campaign.
