Norwich in the Premier League: Who do they keep and who do they sell? Norwich City will be playing Premier League football next season. How good does that sound? The club clinched the title last Sunday as they travelled to Birmingham and beat Aston Villa 2-1 – Teemu Pukki and Mario Vrancic scoring the goals. Daniel Farke and Stuart Webber are now sure to be busy planning transfers for the summer in order to shape the squad for the top-flight. This means that they will be bringing in new signings to strengthen the current group and give them the best chance of surviving in the Premier League. As a result of this, some players will have to be moved on, whether that be on loan or on a more permanent basis.

Norwich City are being linked with a permanent deal to sign Jordan Rhodes this summer.

The Canaries are reportedly poised to enter talks with Sheffield Wednesday as they look to keep him at the club next season.

Rhodes spent the 2018/19 campaign on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, but the club are now hoping to make him their player on a permanent basis.

He initially joined as the club’s first choice striker, but soon found himself playing a supporting role to Teemu Pukki, understandably.

Pukki joined Norwich on a free transfer and went on to score 30 goals in all competitions for the club, along with nine assists, and was crowned Championship Player of the Year.

Enrich has plied his trade with Eibar since 2015, scoring 30 times in La Liga during that time.

Norwich begin talks to sign John Obi Mikel

Norwich begin talks to sign John Obi Mikel Norwich City are reportedly one of the front runners in talks to sign former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, according to Nigerian outlet Sports 247. The Canaries were linked with a move for the Middlesbrough player in recent days and it appears as if Norwich and Sheffield United are in talks with the Nigerian international. The 32-year-old surprisingly made the move to Boro in January after leaving Chinese side Tianjin TEDA and has made 19 appearances under Tony Pulis. Mikel scored his first league goal in England since 2013 on the final day of the Championship season, and his consistent displays have caught the eye of Daniel Farke.

The Scotland international striker helped fire the Canaries to the Championship title last season after signing on a season-long loan from Sheffield Wednesday, scoring nine goals in 40 games. Reports had suggested that the Owls were asking for £7million if Norwich wanted to turn Rhodes’ loan deal permanent, which Webber believes is too high. As reported by The Pink Un, Webber explained the situation, saying: “First of all, we never had the option to buy him, in writing.
