St. Louis Blues winger Jaden Schwartz finished the 2018-19 regular season with 11 goals in 69 games. By the end of Sunday's 5-0 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals he scored his 12th goal of the 2019 playoffs and notched his second hat trick.

Schwartz didn't get started until the second period and his first goal could not have come more easily; In one smooth motion, Sharks' goaltender Martin Jones deflected a rebound right into Schwartz's stick and moved out of the way to give him a wide open net to shoot at.

The eight-year veteran scored his second on a power play early in the third period, chipping the puck out of a scrum and past Jones to put St. Louis up by four.

Schwartz capped off the afternoon by finishing a tremendous pass by Vladimir Tarasenko that left him with another wide-open shot. He is the first player to score two hat tricks in the same postseason since Johan Franzen in 2008 and the first in Blues history to achieve the feat.

Only Logan Couture has more goals in the postseason than Schwartz (14). They will both be able to add to their totals during Game 6 on May 21 as the Blues look to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1970.
