Rose aiming for perfect ending should he leave Spurs this summer

Rose aiming for perfect ending should he leave Spurs this summer Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has had his say on reports linking him with a move away from the club this summer. As reported by the Daily Mirror Rose, perhaps slightly tongue in cheek, said if that is the case then he wants to ‘go out with a bang’. The 28-year-old was, of course, referring to the chance of lifting the Champions League trophy after the club overcame Ajax in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night. After going 2-0 down on the night in Amsterdam, 3-0 on aggregate, forward Lucas Moura produced a fine hat-trick including a goal with virtually the last kick of the game to win the tie on away goals.

Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino are one win away from ending the 2018/19 season in style and cementing themselves in the club’s history.

Should they beat Liverpool to win the Champions League at the start of June then the players will write themselves into club folklore.

Lifting the trophy could also significantly alter the club’s transfer policy in the offseason, with additions needed to build on such success next term.

It is well documented that Spurs have not signed anybody in the last two transfer windows, with Lucas Moura being the last addition in January 2018.

With chairman Daniel Levy likely to open the cheque book this summer, players are will also have to leave in order to balance the books.

With that in mind, we have decided to take a look at five players who could leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, whether that be permanently or on loan.

Leicester to demand £60m for Spurs target Maddison.
Tottenham Hotspur have learned the asking price for Leicester City’s James Maddison this summer. Football Insider have been told that the Foxes will demand at least £60m for the creative midfielder after Tottenham’s interest in the player emerged on Wednesday. Maddison made the move to the King Power Stadium last summer from Norwich City, with the deal costing the Foxes £22.5m. And it appears as if Tottenham will have to potentially treble that fee to secure the services of the highly-rated youngster over the summer. The playmaker enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League, creating the most chances in the division.
