Norwich in the Premier League: Who do they keep and who do they sell?

Norwich in the Premier League: Who do they keep and who do they sell? Norwich City will be playing Premier League football next season. How good does that sound? The club clinched the title last Sunday as they travelled to Birmingham and beat Aston Villa 2-1 – Teemu Pukki and Mario Vrancic scoring the goals. Daniel Farke and Stuart Webber are now sure to be busy planning transfers for the summer in order to shape the squad for the top-flight. This means that they will be bringing in new signings to strengthen the current group and give them the best chance of surviving in the Premier League. As a result of this, some players will have to be moved on, whether that be on loan or on a more permanent basis.

Norwich have completed the permanent signing of Spanish defender Javier Garrido from Lazio for an undisclosed fee, Canaries manager Chris Hughton has confirmed. Garrido, who spent three years at Manchester City, was pleased to have made his move to Carrow Road a permanent one.

Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes is open to completing a permanent move to Norwich this summer.

Rhodes spent the season on loan to Norwich, as the club clinched the Championship title – finishing the season on 94 points, five clear of Sheffield United and 11 clear of Leeds.

According to The Pink’Un, Norwich want to make his loan move a permanent one and that Rhodes, himself, is keen to stay.

The report also claims that Norwich had an option-to-buy in the loan arrangement, but are now hoping that they can snap him up for a reduced fee.

Rhodes’ contract at Sheffield Wednesday expires at the end of next season and is reportedly on big wages.

He scored nine goals over the course of the season, but spent most of the campaign playing back-up to Teemu Pukki – who scored 30 goals and was crowned PFA Championship Player of the Season.

Norwich to receive Maddison fee should he move this summer.
After a stunning first campaign in the Premier League, Leicester have put a huge £60 million price around James Maddison to fend off the top six with rumours that Manchester United and Tottenham amongst others are interested in the young forward, reports the PinkUn. But after agreeing a sell on fee, Norwich could be looking at the prospect of another £6 million for the player who was once on their books. Maddison scored seven goals and made seven assists this season under both Brendan Rodgers and Claude Puel, becoming a favourite with the fans after scoring some spectacular free kicks and creating many chances when linking up with main man Jamie Vardy.
