Chelsea make enquiry for Bolton forward Ronan Darcy
Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry for Bolton Wanderers striker Ronan Darcy, according to the Football Insider. The report suggests that the Blues have enquired over the possibility of signing the forward, who has shone in Bolton’s Under-18 squad this season. The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for The Trotters in the final game of the Championship season against Nottingham Forest, replacing Craig Noone for the final 20 minutes. Celtic are also thought to be monitoring the youngster ahead of a possible summer switch, however, a deal for the Blues looks set to be made complex with their upcoming transfer ban.
LASK Linz vice-president Jurgen Werner has confirmed that the Austrian club have received an enquiry for Thomas Goiginger, who has beenwith a summer switch to Southampton.
The Saints are believed to be in the race to sign the winger as they begin to prepare for the 2019/20 campaign.
It will be the club’s first full season under the management of Ralph Hasenhuttl, and reports have suggested that the boss is keen to recruit his compatriot Goiginger.
Previous claims have indicated that Southampton would be prepared to spend £5 million on the 26-year-old, who scored six goals and chipped in with 11 assists for LASK during his 31 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga.
However, while the Saints appear to be keen, the club’s vice-president Werner toldthat “no offers” have yet been received, but enquiries have been submitted.
Goiginger plays primarily on the right wing but is also capable of operating on the left-hand side.
Bournemouth keen to land Southampton target Phillips.
Southampton are still keeping tabs on Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips, according to Football Insider, but Bournemouth registered an interest in signing him this summer. The Cherries are understood to be pressing ahead with their efforts to land promising British players ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. Having signed Lloyd Kelly from Bristol City at the beginning of the summer transfer window, Football Insider reports that they have identified Phillips and his Leeds teammate Jack Clarke as possible targets.
