Celtic prepared to sell Olivier Ntcham for £7m Celtic are reportedly preparing to sell unsettled midfielder Olivier Ntcham for £7m this summer, with FC Porto the frontrunners to sign the player. According to Football Insider, the Hoops are willing to allow the Frenchman to leave Celtic Park, but won’t receive any offers close to their £14m valuation for the midfielder. Ligue 1 side Marseille are keeping tabs on Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham ahead of a potential summer swoop.

According to Record Sport, Marseille have been sending scouts to monitor Ntcham’s progress this season, as they weigh up whether to make a move for the central midfielder.

The report claims that Portuguese giants Porto have held an interest in Ntcham over the past year, with Marseille now joining the race to land his signature.

Marseille have recently appointed former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager and he is interested in signing Ntcham ahead of next season.

This is despite Ntcham often struggling to make the starting line-up for Celtic this season. The French midfielder made 20 league appearances for the club, scoring three goals.

The 23-year-old joined Celtic from Manchester City in 2017 for a fee in the region of £4.5m and played 47 games – scoring nine goals – in his debut campaign.

The report claims that he is unsettled at Celtic and is weighing up his options over where his next move will be. He joined the club from Manchester City for a fee in the region of £4.5m in 2017 and has scored 14 goals in 77 games for Celtic in all competitions – including five in 30 this season. Marseille are said to be interested in a deal for Ntcham, but Porto have now backed away from the race.
