Celtic are hoping to receive up to £15m for in-demand midfielder Olivier Ntcham, according to France Football, cited by The Boot Room.

The report states that Ligue 1 side Marseille and Portuguese giants FC Porto are set to do battle for the 23-year-old this summer.

Previous reports claimed that the Hoops were willing to sell Ntcham for just £7m ahead of the new season, however, they now look set to raise their valuation of the player back up to the £15m mark.

The midfielder made the move to Celtic Park from Manchester City for £4.5m in 2017, so it appears as if the Hoops will make a profit on the Frenchman if he departs Scotland this summer.

Ntcham has three years left on his Hoops contract, so if both Marseille and Porto begin a bidding war for the player, Celtic may just receive up to £15m for the player, funds Neil Lennon could use to bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Marseille's UEFA sanction could put end to Ntcham pursuit.
Marseille have been tracking Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham in recent months and were expected to make a concrete offer for the Frenchman this summer. However, according to L’Equipe, cited by GFFN, the Ligue 1 side are struggling to meet UEFA’s Finacial Fair Play regulations and will have to bring in €50m in player sales by the end of the month to avoid further punishment. The news means the French side will more than likely end their pursuit of midfielder Ntcham to concentrate on meeting UEFA’s requirements. The 23-year-old, who joined Celtic from Manchester City back in 2017 in a £4.5m deal, is also being tracked by Portuguese giants FC Porto.
