Besiktas manager urges club to sign Fousseni Diabate Since his move to Leicester City from Gazelec Ajaccio in January 2018, Fousseni Diabate has yet to make an impact in English football but is seemingly attracting interest from elsewhere. The 23-year-old has made just one Premier League start for the Foxes but spent the second half of the 2018-19 season on loan at Turkish club Sivasspor. According to Fanatik, cited by Sport Witness, Diabate has caught the eye of one of the biggest Turkish Super Lig club’s in Besiktas and manager Abdullah Avci has urged his board to sign him.

Leicester City winger Fousseni Diabata has signed with Sivasspor on loan for the remainder of the season. However, he has been limited to just four outings this season and wanted to move in order to secure more playing time. Diabate joined the Foxes from Ajaccio last January.

Leicester City winger Fousseni Diabate has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium to Turkish giants Besiktas.

The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor, where he featured 17 times.

And according to Turkish media outlet Gunes, cited by Leicester Mercury, the Foxes want €3 million for the 23-year-old, however, the Turkish side are hopeful of getting him for €2 million.

Diabate’s contract doesn’t run out until 2022, he signed in 2018 for €2 million from Ligue 2 side Gazelec Ajaccio.

Leicester would have been hoping that the signing would have been more of a success.

Former Foxes Anthony Knockaert and Riyad Mahrez played in Ligue 2, while N’Golo Kante was also a regular in the division before a season in the French top flight.

With Brendan Rodgers replacing Claude Puel as manager, he will want to bring in players of his own in order to help Leicester push for a spot in Europe.

Bartosz Kapustka hasn’t had the easiest time at Leicester City, in what has been a very difficult three years for the winger. He has been suffered from injuries and has spent time away from the club on loan. However, speaking to Polish media, as cited on the Leicester Mercury, the midfielder confirmed he has spoken to manager Brendan Rodgers and feels he can make an impact on the first-team squad next season as they look to push for a spot in Europe. “I also met the coach Brendan Rodgers, I had the opportunity to talk to him about my future in the club. These were very positive words, giving me high hopes.
