NBA Finals 2019: Bob Myers, Warriors players discuss Kevin Durant's injury "It's an Achilles injury. I don't know the extent of it," Myers said while making a statement after the Warriors' 106-105 win. "He'll have an MRI tomorrow. Prior to coming back he went through four weeks with our medical team and it was thorough. "I don't believe there's anybody to blame, but I understand this world. If you have to, you can blame me. Durant was called "soft" and accused of not being committed to his team, according to Rose, who believes this continuous chatter pushed Durant to return sooner than he should have. On Friday, Rose even told the "NBA Countdown" crew that Durant's workout with the team didn't go well and a return was looking less likely.

Since Durant's injury, many fans and players have come out in support of the two-time Finals MVP. Warriors general manager Bob Myers even broke down in tears during a press conference after Golden State's Game 5 win while discussing the injury, but Rose isn't convinced that all of the love being shown for Durant is genuine.

The Warriors reportedly believe an MRI will confirm Durant has a torn right Achilles. An injury like this could leave him on the sidelines for an entire year, which will cause a ripple effect around the league. Durant is set to become a free agent on June 30 and will be eliglible for a supermax contract.
