As reported by a Tuttomercatoweb exclusive, Emerson’s agent Leonardo Cornacini played down speculation that his client was keen on a move to Italy, with Juventus, Milan and Inter all said to be keen. As quoted by Tuttomercatoweb, Cornacini said: “He [Emerson] still has years of contract, he is happy and the club is happy to keep him, we are sure that the future is in London.” When asked about how his season with Chelsea went, Cornacini said: “Well, at first a bit difficult.” “There was competition from Marcos Alonso, another great player.

Emerson Palmieri has refused to rule out a summer exit from Chelsea, but admits he is happy at the club.

The 24-year-old ended his first season at Stamford Bridge impressively, making the left-back spot his own.

He started the Europa League final win over Arsenal last month, which Chelsea won 4-1 in Baku.

Having initially had to play second fiddle to Marcos Alonso, Emerson ousted the Spaniard, appearing 27 times in all competitions.

Despite his good form, the Italy international has been linked with a move away from west London this summer, with Juventus tipped to sign him.

Marcos Alonso reportedly agrees terms with Atletico Madrid

Marcos Alonso reportedly agrees terms with Atletico Madrid Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has reportedly agreed terms with Atletico Madrid ahead of a summer switch. According to Spanish outlet Marca, cited by Caught Offside, the 28-year-old has agreed personal terms with Diego Simeone’s side, despite both clubs yet to agree on a fee for the player. Alonso has been with the Blues since 2016 and has been a regular in the side under a number of different managers. The defender was used just four times in the Blues’ Europa League campaign, with Maurizio Sarri using Emerson in Europe and domestic cup competitions.

Maurizio Sarri looks set to be joining Juve from Chelsea, which is perhaps why the move is being mooted.

Emerson played for Italy in their 2-1 win over Bosnia on Tuesday, and speaking to reporters after the game, he remained coy over his future:

“I have a contract with Chelsea and I am happy there, especially after the Europa League [victory].”

“At this time I haven’t received any offers. Everyone is saying [Allianz Stadium could be my new home] however I am very relaxed.”

“I will continue to work hard and not focus on these things.”

Should the former Roma man leave Chelsea, reinforcements would be required at left-back.

Alonso himself could leave in the coming weeks, but even if he stays, his poor form in 2019/20 highlights the need for an upgrade.

Sarri has two Blues players in his sights at Juventus.
Following weeks of speculation, it was finally announced that Maurizio Sarri will be in charge of Juventus in Italy next season. Now, according to reports on the Express, Sarri is wanting to sign two Chelsea players for his new club. Midfielder Jorginho is one of the Blues players Sarri is wanting to sign. The pair have been working together since they were both at Napoli, and he followed Sarri to Stamford Bridge in 2018. Jorginho has been a regular at Chelsea and there’s no doubt that Sarri will want to carry on mentoring him in Italy. Emerson is another player who Sarri reportedly hopes to sign from Chelsea.
