The report states that Kent, who excelled under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox last year, is open to a new challenge next season.

Newly promoted Aston Villa are also keen on the wide man, however, Dean Smith’s side would more than likely explore the possibility of signing Kent on a permanent basis.

However, with Kent having three years left on his current Reds deal, a loan stint looks the most likely option for the winger.

Marcelo Bielsa is looking to bolster his wide options for the Whites this summer ahead of the new campaign, so Kent could be a key man at Elland Road if he made the move to Yorkshire.

Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Nicolas Pepe’s agent ahead of a summer move. The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the wide man, who has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Ligue 1 with Lille. The 24-year-old joined Lille back in 2017 for just €10m under now Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa and has been a vital member of the side ever since. Pepe scored 22 times in Ligue 1 this season, with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe the only player to score more than the Ivory Coast international in France’s top division.
