Andy Robertson willing to end his career with Liverpool Liverpool star Andy Robertson has admitted he is willing to stay with the Reds until the end of his career. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s best left-backs since joining from Hull City in 2017. Robertson, who began his career in Scotland with Queen’s Park and Dundee United, is now an Anfield favourite following his £8m move. The Scot, along with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, has made himself known for his attacking instincts and pinpoint deliveries from wide areas. Robertson has made 47 appearances for the Reds this season and signed a new five-year contract with the club earlier this year.

Andy Robertson is not expected to miss the start of next season, despite contrasting reports.

The player was forced to miss Tuesday night’s game against Belgium with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Early reports suggested that the injury itself was a serious one and would see Robertson miss the start of the new campaign.

The defender has since taken to social media to provide an update and it appears to be good news for Liverpool.

Speaking on his Instagram, he said:

“Frustrating to miss last nights game and to end an incredible season on a small low! Now it’s time to switch off, recover and get ready to do it all over again with club and country!”

Having the defender back fully fit and available for the start of next season will be a major boost for the Reds.

Robertson was instrumental in Liverpool’s success both in the Premier League and of course, the Champions League during the 2018/19 season.

The Liverpool Echo reports that players will start returning for pre-season in the first week of July, but whether Robertson is included in that group remains to be seen.
