Ryan Kent could stay with Liverpool next season

Ryan Kent could stay with Liverpool next season Liverpool’s Ryan Kent is in high demand this summer with multiple teams interested in the youngster. However, Steven Gerrard has told Sky Sports that he believes Kent might stay with Liverpool for the upcoming 2019/20 campaign. Last season, Kent enjoyed a season-long loan with Gerrard at Scottish Premiership giants Rangers and under the ex-Liverpool youth coach he was very successful – which has sparked interest from other clubs including Leeds United and newly-promoted Aston Villa. © Ian MacNicol/Getty Images Sport Ian MacNicol/Getty Images Sport Liverpool’s asking price is £12 million, a fee that may put clubs off a permanent deal this summer.

Liverpool are not expected to make on-loan Ryan Kent a permanent transfer to Glasgow Rangers. He will be back in pre-season to challenge Sadio Mane. Despite having a reasonably successful loan spell at Glasgow Rangers, Ryan Kent is likely to return to Anfield in the summer.

Scotland’s Young Player of the Year is in demand once more this summer after proving to all the critics that he has what it takes to play at the top level of the game.

This is after 22-year-old Kent scored six goals in 43 appearances this season under Gerrard whilst playing on the wing for Rangers in the SPL, reports Goal.com.

Leeds United of the Championship in England have made a formal approach for the exciting forward but would only be able to take the player on-loan, but with both Liverpool and Kent wanting to make the move a permanent one for around £12 million, the Yorkshire club may have been priced out.

The other option is for Kent to fight for his place at Anfield, but with Shaqiri, Mane and Salah already making a name for themself, Kent may struggle for game time at what is a crucial period in his career at the age of 22.

Leeds are not the only club interested however, with Middlesbrough and Premier League club Aston Villa said to be monitoring the player.

Rangers would also love to have Kent back but it’s whether the winger wants a new challenge and can agree a move away from Anfield for the set price.

Sheyi Ojo agrees terms over new five-year deal.
Liverpool forward Sheyi Ojo has reportedly agreed terms with the Reds over a new five-year deal, according to Football Insider. The report claims that the 21-year-old, who only signed his most recent contract extension last August, has agreed terms to extend his Anfield stay and will once again head out on loan over the summer. Ojo, who has been on the books with Liverpool since 2011, has enjoyed four senior loan spells over the past four years with the likes of Wigan Atheltic, Wolves, Fulham and most recently, French side Reims.
