Inter Milan join West Ham and Spurs in race to land Lobotka

Inter Milan join West Ham and Spurs in race to land Lobotka Inter Milan have reportedly joined West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to land Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka this summer. According to Sky Sports, cited by calciomercato.com, Antonio Conte’s side have been watching the midfielder and have been long-term admirers of the 24-year-old. The Hammers are hoping to land Lobotka, along with his Ceta Viga teammate Maxi Gomez in a double deal worth €60m this summer. Lobotka is thought of as one of La Liga’s best midfielders after featuring in 32 games for Celta Vigo last season, impressing with his consistent displays.

Tottenham Hotspur’s north London rivals Arsenal have reportedly submitted an offer for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini – but should Spurs continue their interest?

The Daily Mirror write that the Gunners are prepared to meet Pellegrini’s £27m release clause, but would be looking to do so in two instalments in order to make the deal viable.

The 22-year-old featured regularly for Roma last season in the centre of midfield, a position that Spurs seem keen to bolster their options in before the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

Most of his appearances came as part of a midfield three, a formation that boss Mauricio Pochettino does not tend to deploy.

West Ham to battle Palace for French teenage midfielder Abanda

West Ham to battle Palace for French teenage midfielder Abanda West Ham have reportedly been keeping close tabs on 18-year-old Davis Abanda who plays for Ligue 2 side AC Ajaccio, according to French media outlet L’Equipe, cited by Sport Witness. The French midfielder has found the back of the net five times for Ajaccio’s reserves, and it seems as though the Hammers are looking to make a move for the player’s signature this summer. Should Manuel Pellegrini wish to bring the Frenchman, twin of Leroy Abanda who covers left-back for AC Milan, to the London Stadium, he will be facing heavy competition from South London side Crystal Palace.

However, Pellegrini’s qualities are clear to see, linking defence and attack by winning the ball efficiently before finding a team-mate with a precise pass forward.

The former Sassuolo man is also more than capable of performing a box to box role and is physically strong and agile.

One area the Italian does not stand out in is creativity in front of goal, scoring just four goals and providing seven assists for the Italian giants last season.

However, signing him would allow the likes of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli the license to push forward and provide said goals and assists, knowing that they won’t be left short on the counter attack.

Pellegrini also has Champions League and international experience, which will only benefit young players in the squad such as Oliver Skipp.

For the £27m being mentioned, a snip in today’s over-inflated transfer market, Pellegrini would be a fantastic addition to a Spurs squad intent on progressing both domestically and in Europe next term.

Wolves continue their interest in Rafa Camacho.
Wolves remain interested in a summer move for Liverpool youngster Rafa Camacho, according to the Express & Star. The Portuguese has been linked with a switch to Molineux in the past, potentially joining up with a number of his compatriots in the process. Camacho will leave Liverpool in the coming weeks, having failed to agree a new deal at the club. The 18-year-old is valued at around £10million, having impressed for the Reds’ U23s and appeared twice for the first team in 2018/19. Ironically, his Liverpool debut came at Wolves in the FA Cup third round back in January, on a night when Nuno Espirito Santo’s men won 2-1.
