Chelsea’s Reece James is a name being linked with a variety of clubs this summer and new Swansea manager Steve Cooper is the latest to express his interest, according to the Daily Mail.

James was on loan at fellow Championship side Wigan last season and impressed, making 45 appearances for Paul Cook’s side, contributing three goals and three assists.

The player’s future is up in the air with Chelsea’s transfer embargo looming, and it was thought the versatile 19-year-old could remain at his parent club and fight for game time in the Premier League once he returns from injury.

With Sarri also leaving, any new manager that comes in will have to make the most of the youth at the club, but for now, another loan move to England’s second tier could be an option for the youngster.

Cooper’s Swansea face competition from a number of Bundesliga sides who are also interested in making a move for the right-back this summer.
