West Ham not fazed by Fortounis contract offer

West Ham not fazed by Fortounis contract offer West Ham target Kostas Fortounis could still join the club this summer, even if he signs a new contract with Olympiacos, according to reports. The Hammers are reportedly keen on bringing in the Greece international, 26, this summer as they look to increase their attacking options within Manuel Pellegrini’s squad. And according to Sdna.Gr, as reported by Sport Witness, the London club would still be interested in making a bid for the midfielder even if he signs a new three-year deal offered to him by the Greek giants.

West Ham have also shown an interest in signing Ozan Kabak from Stuttgart but face competition from several German sides for the 19-year-old defender. The Plymouth midfielder Graham Carey has joined CSKA Sofia on a two-year deal after rejecting a contract offer to stay. The 30-year-old scored

West Ham and Bayern Munich are also keen on the 19-year-old, who was named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year last season. However, it has now emerged Milan want Kabak to bolster their defensive options this summer and have even made an offer to his representatives.

According to reports in Turkey, as cited by Sport Witness, West Ham United have reportedly made an offer to sign Stuttgart’s 19-year-old centre-back Ozan Kabak.

The Turkish player signed for the German side earlier this year in the January transfer window for a fee in the region of £10 million and is believed to have a release clause closer to £13.2 million.

Kabak was one of the few bright lights in what was a disappointing season for Stuttgart as the German side were relegated to the second division.

He appeared 15 times in the Bundesliga during the second half of last season, scoring three times for the club. The Turkish defender was named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season for the 2018/2019 season, a sign of how highly he is rated.

The Hammers will have some competition on their hands for the youngster as European giants AC Milan and Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in Kabak.

The centre-back will want to play regular first-team football so a move to West Ham might be the best option for Kabak, given that he may be earmarked as a potential replacement for the Manchester United-linked Issa Diop.

West Ham miss out on transfer target Kabak.
West Ham look set to miss out on reported transfer target Ozan Kabak, with the defender set to sign with Schalke, according to GIFN. The Turkey youth international was name checked as a key transfer target for the Hammers this summer, with the centre-back reportedly costing just £13million thanks to a release clause in his contract. Currently with Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart who he signed for in January, Kabak’s performances in the last six months had seen his stock dramatically rise, inspiring interest from a number of clubs last season.
