Van de Beek coy on Ajax future - would he be a good signing for Spurs?

Van de Beek coy on Ajax future - would he be a good signing for Spurs? Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Donny Van de Beek did not rule out a move away from current club Ajax when asked about his future – but would he be a good addition to the Spurs squad? Goal write that Van de Beek is also the subject of interest from Manchester United and is likely to be one of several Ajax players tempted by a move to the Premier League this summer. The 22-year-old is a central midfielder who plays with more of an emphasis on attack than defence, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists in the 2018/19 Eredivisie season.

Kieran Trippier could leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer with the club expecting interest from Juventus sooner rather than later – but would it be the right decision to sell him?

The Telegraph write that a bid of £25m would be enough to see Trippier make the switch from the Premier League to Serie A before the start of the 2019/20 season.

The 28-year-old endured a below-par campaign by his own admission last time around, resulting in him being left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the UEFA Nations League finals.

The ex-Burnley man also possesses significant pace and stamina, enabling him to get up and down the right flank with ease, and is not afraid to get physical and put in vital challenges when needed.

His international and European competition experience could be crucial to Mauricio Pochettino’s side next season, but for £25m there is unlikely to be too much of an uproar should he wish to leave.

At 28 he is not getting any younger, and this may be the last transfer window to cash in on him should he start the next campaign poorly.

Furthermore, Pochettino is not short for options in his position, with Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier and young England prospect Kyle Walker-Peters also on the books.

Overall, it would be best to let Trippier move on for the best of his career should the £25m valuation be met, a fee which could well be used to bring other targets to the club.

Sale said that he's never felt more "frustrated" by his performance after Boston's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
