One position each Premier League side needs to strengthen this summer With the summer transfer window now open for business, plenty of incomings and outgoings are expected to take place in the Premier League over the next two months. The three newly promoted sides, Aston Villa, Norwich City and Sheffield United will all be looking to bring in fresh faces for their top-flight returns, with the remaining 17 sides also looking to bolster their respective squads. However, where do each side need to strengthen? We’ve taken a look at one position each top-flight side will more than likely invest in ahead of the new campaign.

Leicester City are yet to make their first signing fo the summer transfer window, although we are yet to enter July.

There is still plenty of time for Brendan Rodgers and his team to get their business done and improve the current squad at the King Power.

Rodgers joined Leicester earlier this year after Claude Puel was sacked by the club, and led the side to a top 10 finish in the Premier League.

The former Celtic and Liverpool boss will now be hoping his team can challenge for a European spot next term, after Wolves finished seventh and secured Europa League football last season.

Although Leicester will be looking to improve their current squad, they could also need to replace some key players. One player who has been touted with a move away from the club is left-back Ben Chilwell.

Right-backs Norwich could sign ahead of next season.
Norwich City have been busy in the transfer market so far this summer and have already made three first-team signings. The Canaries have brought in Patrick Roberts, Ralf Fahrmann and Josip Drmic, with the former two joining on loan from Manchester City and Schalke respectively. Stuart Webber is looking to piece together the best squad he can for Daniel Farke to work with in the Premier League next season, following the club’s promotion from the Championship last term. Farke’s men won the Championship title, amassing 94 points, and will now be aiming to survive in the top-flight next season.
