Liverpool set to revive interest in Lyon's Nabil Fekir
Liverpool are reportedly looking to go back in for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir this summer, according to reports in France. As per French outlet Le Progres, the Reds could try their luck once again this year after missing out on a deal to sign Fekir during the previous summer window. The report claims that initial contact about a deal has been made, but the club are not willing to meet the €50 million price tag. Fekir’s failed move to Anfield was one of the stories of the summer last year, with the Frenchman coming ever so close to joining the Reds.

The Frenchman’s future with the Ligue 1 side has come under intense scrutiny with the midfielder’s contract set to expire next summer, and Liverpool have long been linked with a move for the 25-year-old.

Liverpool have reportedly offered Lyon’s Nabil Fekir a lucrative five-year deal after renewing their interest in the playmaker. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, cited by This is Futbol, the Reds have offered the 25-year-old a five-year deal worth £3.5 million a year. Given the midfielder’s current contract situation, Lyon are believed to have lowered their valuation from last summer, when the Ligue 1 side set a €70million price tag on the France international.
This time around however, Lyon are now looking for a fee in the region of €35million to €40million.
Fekir could yet remain with the Ligue 1 side this summer, though, with Lyon looking to tie the Frenchman down to a new five-year deal.
