Conte approves Inter move for Kovacic

Conte approves Inter move for Kovacic Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has approved a move to sign Chelsea target Mateo Kovacic this summer. According to Tuttosport, via Calcio Mercato, Conte has given the green light for Inter Milan to pursue Kovacic in the transfer window. The report claims that Inter are keen on a deal for Kovacic, who spent the season on loan to Chelsea in the Premier League. Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Kovacic on a permanent deal, which they would be able to do – regardless of their FIFA ban – if they completed the signing before the end of the month.

Liverpool have reportedly joined a host of European giants, including rivals Manchester United, in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Sebastiano Esposito.

According to FC Inter News, cited by HITC, the Reds are showing ‘the strongest interest’ in the forward who has scored 41 times in 59 appearances for Inter Milan’s youth sides.

The 16-year-old has featured once for Inter Milan’s senior side and is being eyed by Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain after an impressive 12-month spell.

Esposito is regarded as a future star and has also scored 14 goals in 20 appearances for Italy’s Under 17 side.

The report doesn’t suggest a proposed fee for the forward, however, it does look as if the Reds are extremely keen on the player.

Liverpool announced the signing of highly-rated defender Sepp van den Berg on Thursday, beating the likes of Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Bayern Munich for the 17-year-old, and Esposito could well be another bright prospect making the move to Merseyside this summer.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Tranmere Rovers (A).
Liverpool return to action just six weeks after their Champions League final win over Tottenham, with the first pre-season game against Tranmere Rovers Thursday night at Prenton Park. With Copa America, African Cup of Nations, U-21 Euros and Nations League all coming in this summer, Jurgen Klopp’s men are missing a host of key players. There were only 16, most of them youth and fringe players, who reported for first day of pre-season training last week. Few have joined them afterwards, but the count is not that high.
