Southampton not interested in loan deals for Lemina

Southampton not interested in loan deals for Lemina Southampton are refusing to let Mario Lemina leave the club on loan this summer. The Daily Echo reports that the Saints will rebuff any approaches from clubs to sign the midfielder on a temporary basis. However, they will consider a deal to sell him permanently, if their asking price is met. Serie A side Atalanta are among the most recent sides to be linked with a loan move for the player, but the Saints aren’t interested. Lemina had a season to forget last time out after suffering various injury problems. He only managed to make 18 league starts last season in the Premier League, registering just one goal and one assist along the way.

Southampton are reportedly open to a surprise sale of midfielder Mario Lemina according to the Telegraph.

Lemina could be one of a number of players leaving the Saints, as Ralph Hasenhuttl looks to make the Southampton team his own ahead of the new Premier League season.

The midfielder is a surprising name to be on the list, despite the player’s injury last season that kept him out for the majority of last season.

Wesley Hoedt, Fraser Forster, Alex McCarthy and Cedric Soares are just some of the other players who could depart the Saints, with Charlie Austin and Sam Gallagher reportedly having multiple sides interested in a move for the two strikers.

Matt Targett is set to depart Southampton, with Aston Villa securing the Saints defender for a fee of £14 million up front, with £3 million in additional add-ons.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is looking to bring in funds so he can bring in the talent that he wants to add to the Saints team.

Mario Lemina prefers Man United switch.
Wantaway Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina would reportedly prefer a move to Manchester United over Arsenal this summer after being left out of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s pre-season squad. The Gabon international looks certain to leave St. Mary’s Stadium after being excluded from Hasenhuttl’s plans and posted an interesting compilation video on Twitter this week to attract interest in his services. According to the Daily Star, as cited by the Sport Review, Lemina is attracting heavyweight attention and has his heart set on a transfer to Old Trafford this summer, rather than joining his international compatriot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Arsenal.
