Arsenal open talks with PSG for Meunier - but is the Belgian what the Gunners need? Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Thomas Meunier – but is the Belgian what Unai Emery needs? The Mirror report that the Gunners have begun discussions with PSG officials ahead of a possible move, with the French champions looking for £27m for the 27-year-old. It is no secret that Emery will need more than a few new acquisitions ahead of the 2019-20 campaign if he is to improve on his first season in charge at the Emirates. One of the areas Emery will be desperate to strengthen is at the back, so a move for Meunier could prove to be a smart signing.

Arsenal have held positive talks with the agent of Ever Banega, according to reports. Arsenal are set to sign Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira in a deal worth around £25million, but with Jack Wilshere leaving on a free transfer they’re eyeing other options in the centre of the pitch.

Comert is certainly a player worth pursuing. Joining from Basel, it’s likely that he would be among the cheaper of Arsenal’s targets.

While Arsenal still require immediate improvement at the back, supporters can take hope from their reported pursuits of both Comert and William Saliba and know that the club are keeping one eye on the future.

The 21-year-old has already played a great amount of football for someone so young and should be considered as a great prospect for the future, so the Gunners would be smart to wrap this deal up.

Arsenal hold talks with Everton's agent - should they move for him?.
Arsenal are reportedly pursuing a deal for Gremio star Everton Soares, but just why would he be a clever signing for the club? The Gunners have been devoid of naturally gifted wide options for some time now. Alex Iwobi played to a reasonably high standard last term, but there was little to get excited about. Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe present intriguing options for the future, but the burden cannot be placed upon the two youngsters to take the mantle and drive Arsenal back to the Champions League next season.
