Callum Hudson-Odoi: 18 and the world at his feet.
18 and the world at your feet. Amazing, when you look at it in the context of your own life. What was I doing at 18? Certainly not about to make a life-changing decision like Callum Hudson-Odoi is. Stay at the club where you could become a folk hero, and join the likes of Osgood, Wise, Hollins, Dixon, Nevin, Terry, Lampard and your namesake Alan Hudson? Or leave and make your way to Germany, where you will be amongst strangers, unable initially to speak the language and with no chance of ever being treated like a hometown hero? Now, I appreciate the allure of Bayern, the prestige, the reputation and the challenges of the Bundesliga.
