Zaha tells Palace he wants Arsenal move - is he the club's missing link? Wilfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace that he wants to join Arsenal, his boyhood club, this summer – so can he prove to be the missing link to Gunners’ attack? According to the Daily Mail, the Ivorian international is keen to complete a move across London this summer, having supported the Gunners as a youngster. It has been widely reported that Zaha is among Arsenal’s top attacking targets and could be the man to inject some creativity into the Gunners’ attacking options.

Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha (born 10 November 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Crystal Palace and the Ivorian national team.

There have been rumours that Wilfried Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace for Arsenal, but if he does leave, who could Palace target as his replacement?

Quality should be replaced with quality and not quantity. If Zaha goes for a hefty fee, Palace should take a chunk of that money and replace him with one top-quality wide man.

Allan Saint-Maxmin is one player that Palace reportedly have their eye on. The youngster is a brilliant dribbler and has lots of potential.

He looks like a perfect replacement for Zaha, however, the 22-year-old’s end product isn’t as good as the Ivorian’s.

Arsenal confident Zaha will be able to leave Crystal Palace this summer

Arsenal confident Zaha will be able to leave Crystal Palace this summer Arsenal are reportedly ready to make an offer to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, and are not put off by the club’s £80million price tag. The Ivory Coast international, as reported earlier today, has asked to leave the Eagles this summer with Arsenal one of many clubs said to be interested in signing the 26-year old. And despite Palace’s price tag being just under double Arsenal’s entire budget for the summer, the North London club feel confident that they can land the versatile forward because of Zaha’s history as a boyhood Gunners fan.

Wilfried Zaha is to make a ‘substantial financial contribution’ to support the development of Crystal Palace Ladies’ amateur players.

Crystal Palace look set to offer Wilfried Zaha a new contract after his performances helped them secure Premier League football for a sixth successive season.

The Frenchman would definitely improve under Roy Hodgson’s guidance.

He scored six last season in Ligue 1 and could cost Palace around €25 million.

Another option for the Eagles could be fellow Ivory Coast international Maxwel Cornet.

Cornet is a pacey winger who can cause havoc for opposing defenders.

He scored seven goals and provided four assists last season in Ligue 1 for Lyon.

Cornet is also happy to defend when needed and his high work-rate suits Palace’s style of play. Watford have reportedly been keeping tabs on him for a while now and the 22-year-old could also cost around €25 million.

Malcom left Bordeaux for Barcelona last year for around €40 million but didn’t have a great season at the Nou Camp.

Selhurst Park could well be the perfect place to revive his career. The Brazilian is a tricky winger and could provide the assists and goals which Palace are craving for if they lose Zaha.

The 22-year-old is wanted by both Arsenal and Everton, however, with Palace guaranteeing him a regular starting spot, they could well be able to land the impressive wide man.

Arsenal not giving up on Zaha deal.
Arsenal have not given up on signing Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and one source has told Sky Sports News they will make another bid this week. Palace are refusing to sell Zaha to the Gunners unless their £80m valuation is met. Arsenal have already had one bid of £40m rejected during the current transfer window. The Eagles are under no pressure to let Zaha go as they have already sold Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United for £50m this summer.
