West Ham move for Moussa Marega West Ham have reportedly made the first move in the race to land FC Porto’s Moussa Marega this summer, with the Hammers said to have made a €35million bid for the striker. Marega has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with a number of sides said to be eyeing a move for the 28-year-old once again this summer. However, according to Sport Witness via Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Hammers have made an offer of €35million to Porto, as they look to beat the likes of Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to sign the striker.

West Ham are closing in on Moussa Marega , right, who has been in action for Mali against TunisiaCredit: AFP or licensors. Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez were both released at the end of last season, leaving only Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez available to Manuel Pellegrini.

West Ham fans can rejoice as it looks like they’re closing in on the signing of Porto striker Moussa Marega in an exciting summer swoop. Meanwhile, Andy Carroll’s long-term injury troubles have put his West Ham future in some doubt, and Marega could be a major upgrade.

West Ham have been offered the chance to sign Porto striker Moussa Marega, according to Sky Sports News.

The 28-year old forward has a £26.9million release clause and is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League, with the Hammers having previously entered talks for the forward last summer.

The Mali international forward scored 21 goals last season, including six in nine Champions League appearances.

The Hammers are desperate to sign a new forward this summer, with the club currently seriously lacking in firepower. Andy Carroll was released at the end of last campaign, while Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic have both been sold on.

Along with Marega the club are reportedly interested in West Brom’s Salomon Rondon, who spent last season on loan with Newcastle, and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller.
